Education Profile of Jharkhand

The state of Jharkhand which was formed in 2000 has a literacy rate of 67.63%. Jharkhand is one of the most industrialized areas in the country. Education has always been a priority in the state and some of the reputed seats of learning like Indian School of Mines and Birla Institute of Technology are present in this state. Jharkhand Academic Council and Jharkhand Education Project Council have been formed to promote and foster higher education in the state.
