Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University
Based on the pattern of Raksha Shakti University, Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University or JRSU was established by the Government of Jharkhand in 2016. It is the first such university in East India to impart training on police science and security management.
The aims and objectives of Jharkhand Raksha Shakti Universityas laid down by its board are:
(i) to meet the demand of Police and other security force, train and develop efficient man power.
(ii) Opportunity to the youth of the State to build their career in State Police, Central police, military and other private security forces.
(iii) Training and building manpower to tackle the upcoming challenges from offences like cyber crime, terrorism, telecommunication offence, economic offence, and the offences requiring expertise in forensic science.

Mission of Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University
To impart customised education to the youth of the country in all vital aspects of internal and external security to ensure a specialized and trained personnel available for employment in various security agencies like police personnel, defence, private security, forensic scientists, cyber security offices etc.

Admission in Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University
Admission is done on the basis of marks obtained in Common Entrance Test (Weightage 60%) and marks obtained in qualifying examination for the respective course (Weightage 40%).
The Common Entrance Test syllabus will be of 80 marks. It includes:
a. Logical reasoning, general knowledge, numerical ability and
English- common for all carrying 50 questions.
b. Domain specific questions:
M.A./M.Sc. Criminology - Law, Psychology, Sociology & General Science
PGDIS - Psychological test & thematic test (30 questions).
BCACS - Maths Physics, Chemistry, Basic Computer (30 questions)
BFA- Life Science, Physics, Chemistry
DPS - Psychological Test and Thematic test
CCPS - General Knowledge and language test
Eligibility Criteria
For admission to MA/MSc Criminology, a person who has passed graduation from any field with at least 50% is eligibile. The candidate should not be more than 27 years of age and relxation of 2 years for SC, ST and OBCcandidates.
For admission in Forensic science, BSc in Computer Application and Cyber Security, candidates having passed class 12 with a minimum of 45% are eligible to apply. The candidate should not be more than 21 years of age.
For admission to certificate in Police Science, a person who has passed class 10 and secured a minimum of 50% is eligible to apply.
