JAC: Jharkhand Academic Council

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) was enacted by the Jharkhand State Legislature and by the honourable Governor of the State on 26th March 2003. The Jharkhand Academic Council was established for conducting Intermediate, Secondary, Madhyama and Madarsa from Vastaniyan to Fazil examinations.

The JAC Board is also responsible for prescribing courses of studies for such examinations and for recommending for recognition of Intermediate Educational Institutions, High Schools, Sanskrit Schools and Madrasas to the State Government and for carrying out such other examination as assigned to the council by the State Govt from time to time. Besides the Council also accords opening permission of school Inter College & School and recommends for their recognition to the HRD. It also recommends the madarsa as well as Sanskrit School for their recognition to the HRD.

The idea of bringing all branches of education Secondary, Intermediate Sanskrit (Madhyama) and Madarsa under one umbrella  of Jharkhand Academic Council was no branch is treated in isolation and gets unified attention. Another leap forward was taken when the CBSE curriculum was introduced from the primary stage to the Intermediate stage to enable our students to take part in the main current of the national education-programme freely and naturally.

In order to wave out difficulties in teaching CBSE courses, some Orientation Courses and Workshops were conducted in collaboration with some eminent Scholars.
